Uganda didnt experience a good 2014 Football Season

Uganda did not have a memorable 2014 in terms of football as the African Nation failed to qualify into the Nations Cup after losing against Morocco on January 20 of the previous year.

Jimmy BakyayitaSemugabi, John Kitanda and Parry Okech are some of the football figures of Uganda that passed away. Express FC is a football in Uganda and EriyaBugembeSebunya played an important role in the club as the vice-chairman during the 1990’s but he also was one of the football figures in Uganda who deceased.

On a more tragic note, Simba player FahadMusana collapsed and died just a day after featuring for his side in the Uganda Premier League.

But even with all of these negative events and outcomes which occurred, there were a few factors that promise a great future for Uganda in relation to their football squad.

Even though Uganda did not make it past the group stages of the Nations Cup, it was a fairly impressive campaign as the nation managed to claim victories against Burkina Faso and Tanzania as well as forcing a draw when locking horns with Zimbabwe.

During the Nations Cup, Uganda was able to score 3 goals and all of these goals were netted by the 23 year old YunusSentamu who has a bright future ahead of him and he even went on to join As Vita for a fee of $40,000.

SavioKabugo, Brian Majwega and FarouqMiya are some of the other players that managed to make a breakthrough campaign with noteworthy individual performances as they displayed free-flowing football and are well on their way in turning into the main stars for their nation.
